    Big Cat sightings

So they are actively breeding, as of 1976 it is illegal to keep a big cat.

    One man's mission.

I see at 26.15 he mentions that his missus cracked open a bottle of wine, that she wasn't going to share. So he buggered off to the river! I wonder if he has a family life at all. 😄

    Frozen Hemp

To be fare, its half the enjoyment... never knowing what will come next. Roach too!

    Frozen Hemp

What's your river? I experienced that you could catch on warm, sunny days with this method, when all else fails You need a heavyish float, fishing bulk shot style. Size 14 for tares. I used Drennan Super Spades. They never failed me.

    Frozen Hemp

Absolutely! Trotting, along with hemp. This was when I lived in Bath and fished regularly with a float for them in the summer.

    Frozen Hemp

I do fish tares also, but like the option of putting hemp on the hook. I wouldn't mix the two together anyway, as the tares would fly out further than the hemp. lol I've caught various fish, including barbel, on a single grain of hemp on a 14/16, or 3 on a 10.

    Frozen Hemp

I would add that probably the fish don't care. As long as its cooked and smells like hemp, it will still attract. My problem is that I love to use it directly on the hook.

Recent River Great Ouse nitrate levels

It would be great to see local universities to be engaged in this type of testing. At least there's something positive happening in this area. I saw a couple of uni students taking samples from the Ivel a couple of years back, to test for suspended micro plastics.

From experience you should never try and postpone a hospital appointment, you may have to wait another 3 months. NHS is in freefall, keep those appointments. What veg ya planting in the raised beds?

    Fishing a low stocked water

I've had the odd 2lb roach from the BA. When I wasn't after barbel, I was after roach, usually

    Fishing a low stocked water

I love catching fish too much, to be wasting a whole season chasing a handful of barbel. I realised this, after the Ouse was virtually emptied of it's barbel over two seasons and I hardly touched a rod for the following five seasons.
