Hi Mark, I usually park in the layby at the top by the garden centre but today it was full so I had to drive down the track. It was very deeply rutted and very muddy at the bottom but I have 4 x 4 so managed ok but I wouldn't advise taking a car down there. I fished for 4 hours and blanked...
Been after one of these for some time but they had been discontinued, then last week saw some advertised on e-bay so ordered one and it came within 2 days. Looks ideal for roaming once I have added a bucket to it. Still 5 available if anyone else is after one...
Have you tried these, available from BFW shop: The Snagsafe Lead Clip is a lead/feeder clip for use with a running leger set-up. It features a large bore hole to allow the line to run freely offering minimum resistance to a taking fish. The main design feature is the actual clip itself which...
I have 2 of the latest LA handles and they are excellent. I know they are not available now but check out the Gardner on this link as they are a good alternative: https://www.tackleuk.co.uk/Shop/Landing-Net-Handles/Gardner-Specialist-Landing-Net-Handle-XT.htm. I had a Drennan but had screwlock...

In Feb 2020 we had record flood levels on the Lower Severn, over 7 metres at Kempsey. The floods started to subside at the beginning of March and the river became fishable for the last 10 days of the season and the Barbel were still around and the river fished well, I personally caught 14 Barbel...
Lawrence is absolutely right in what he says about the Otters starting on the Barbel then moving down through the food chain. I fish the Lower Severn at least 5 times a week in what used to be prime barbel areas and by this time in the season I would reasonable have expected to have caught a...
I had a new 4000D and had trouble with the bail arm as soon as I started using it, kept closing during casting. HoweverI also have a 6000D which is great. Another baitrunner I have which I rate very highly is the Daiwa Emblem BR25, worth a look if you are after a new reel.
