It’s extremely common with bolt rigs to be set up to drop the lead the moment the fish is hooked.
Yep it’s ludicrous i agree and a compulsory enforcement on certain rig types would be a far better move than simply changing the product that’s going to continue to get dumped
For what we lose in the rivers I would dare say it’s a long long way off the top of the problem list.
Even our lead drop safe rigs are only designed to lose leads if quite a lot of pressure is applied and even then in most cases the fish is netted with the lead.
Definitely the issue lies in...
I had a little metric Myford ml10 in my garage for a lot of years and for its size it was an amazing little lathe. you could take decent cuts and do very accurate work unlike these mini watch makers things.
Coupled up with a 4x6 bandsaw and a vertical slide, there wasn’t much that couldn’t be...
It is but what on earth have they done with the two rod version.
Thankfully I bought mine to house a float rod and my wading tripod which don’t take a lot of room because it’s a tight fitting quiver with no thought for large but guides
Nothing like the generous space associated with the 3 rod
The main advantage of using a mat is the element of control you have regarding what the fish is laid on.
a patch of thick soft wet grass is a lovely thing and will house a fish just perfectly but unless you grew it from seed and stood and watched it grow there is no telling what it hides and a...
6x 4g would be convenient for me mark and I think a 7th might find its way in the box foc for your flexibility on it mate.
No more orders now until the 4 lots are shipped off next week and I can see what is left.
Slowly but surely I’m running the stock of bodies down.
Got some 2g beck and...
Absolutely pointless Mike you are dead right. It doesn’t bring anything useful to the reel whatsoever
In fact all it does bring is less leverage/cranking power and a tiny little handle that offers very little grip.
I’ve caught them on bread but granted they were not the desired species.
very high water/flood conditions i actually favour cheese for them over other more classic barbel baits. I’ve had quite afew on cheese by design yet it’s another not really associated with them.
To be fair you could...
A load more 4’s drip drying and ready for next weeks post if anyone wants em. 90% red tops.
There’s afew 5’s in there too reserved for @Kevin Copping if still wanted. Again all reds this time round.
Nice choice
I have had them on mine for a number of years now and I love em. So strong and reliable.
I have 20mm on the butt and that goes up to a 7mm tip
7 guides plus tip guide 8 in total for me.
