I sold a set of alarms to someone on here and got a lot more than I paid for them and old Delkims are very sought after ;)
I have cheap and cheerful but nonetheless very efficient Fladen braid scissors and can't fault them (I get them super cheap as I own a tackle shop:rolleyes:) seriously though they are superb;)
Last year I got the deal of the century in the shape of a Drennan IM8 13" Super Stick in VGC for a Fiver ;)
I have used it once for Grayling and It's a lovely rod:p
I have no Idea what it's actually worth?
I bought two Okuma Aventa Pro centrepins for just under £80 ea (now £120), and two Swallow pins a few years before at just over £50 ea!
I still have the Okuma's but let the Swallows go for £100 each some time ago with no regrets as they were the Mk1 version with the leather pad drum brake ;)
What a Legend Terry is, also fishing some of my favourite haunts, If only those stretches were anything like they were back then😒 I bet there are still some monsters around though;)
I have been considering trying braid for trotting again since I acquired some 200m spools of 'Sundance Tackle Super Braid' (Roger Baysance's company) in 12lb BS 0.09mm which is a round dyneema braid that floats well. I currently have a few spools in my tackle shop intended for LRF anglers to use...
Great thread Jon,
I was inspired to try float fishing for Barbel by the great Keith Speer who's articles on the subject were very informative too.
This is a float caught 17lb beauty which was published in the angling press. Sadly Keith died a couple of years later, a sad loss:(

I have bought it Stephen but am yet to read it but in the current climate feel that will happen soon.
In the short term I would also be interested in the answer to your question ;)
