Having my first go next week. Unfortunately not a venue for the traditional float methods - mainly method feeder/helicopter at range but fish up to 10ish so worth a go. Might even get my bivvy out & do a night 😮
Sad news indeed. Was a great contributor to this site. Always started the 'Happy Christmas' thread and I loved his parrot tales. Was ever helpful with advice and although he had some fairly strident views he was a genuinely decent man. Only had the pleasure of meeting him once at the Loddon...
Worrying to hear your comments about barbel numbers on the Wye Graham. I was hoping that the Wye might be one of the few rivers not to be too badly effected.

I used to love my old wooden float box. Not particularly practical but looked great with all the floats laid out. Wish I still had it as they're difficult to find these days.
