This is what i use. Can configure it to fit any swim and packs away nicely for travel.

Swan mussel shells / GLM attractant

Has anyone used GLM as an attractor in their bait making at all please ? Was walking the bank yesterday and after the water dropping down a metre I noticed hundreds of swan mussel shells on the bankside. I know Nutrbaits do GLM powder (as do Holland & Barett) and was thinking of soaking some...

    Brolly reviews

I’m in the same position and also looking for one. Narrowed it down to Korum Super Lite River or the Drennan Specialist Umbrella. Both have the following: Removable centre pole Pegging points Bank stick threads

    First time on the Wye

Any danger of starting a thread specifically on “pressure” ? I feel the original purpose of the post had gone way off topic.

    First time on the Wye

On my local waters it’s “40 match anglers each and every Saturday”. Once the clocks change it barely gives pleasure anglers and time to fish.

    What banksticks/ storm poles??

For storm-poles the Korum screw ones are good as they come with a small detachable handle which really allows you to drive the bankstick into the ground. For regular bankstick I use Fox block label mainly as they fit into their matching stage-stands so I can use on pallets if needed or just...

    First time on the Wye

Yeah some of the swims are a bit dodgy. I thought Woody was super helpful. He got my phone, opened up Google maps and “pinned” exactly where to park and which swims to try and how far out to cast.

    First time on the Wye

Put us on a place called Warham. Friend I was with had three fish in three casts !!! We’re going to join HDAA next season for sure.

    Why Korum, why?

Can I ask what legs you used for this tripod please ? I got a Trakker tripod for the Wye last weekend and within 2-mins it had fallen over and washed all my bloody meat / pellet down the bloody river !!!

    First time on the Wye

Just come back from four days on the Wye with a mixture of the Fishing Passport and HDAA day ticket. The Creel - Had my first Barbel of the season on my second cast in the middle of the day, then another one about an hour later. I also lost one which was a frustration. My mate also lost one but...

    Specialist Videos

Horses for courses IMO. Last Friday I went for a few hours after work with an 11ft rod and my pin, a rod rest and landing net. This Friday I’m doing an overnight so will have a bivvy / x2 12ft rods with alarms / cooking gear / bivvy tables etc… I love YouTube but this year every man and his...

    Spanish Barbel

I fished the Guadiana earlier in the year for Barbel but the Portuguese side of the river (it runs from Spain). Ideally you want a local guide to put you on some decent stretches as these rivers are wide and deep. I fished a section in a small town called Mertola and it was 15m deep in places...

Korum waist trotting tray, Is this a good or dumb idea?

Fun fact: The Landlord of my local used to make all of this Double T stuff for Trefor and Tony. I believe he’s still got all the cutting samples too for al the products that were manufactured.

    tough start

Agreed. 5.11 is the best I’ve had. Weirdly enough I don’t tend to catch many 2/3lb ones.

    tough start

Not a single Barbel on the W.Avon although I have only done x6 trips and conditions haven’t been ideal. Had some lovely Chub though on the pin.

    Small river barbel rod

Look at a Ray Walton 11ft rod. You can get them used for about £90 on eBay. Awesome rod with a lovely action and perfect for regular reels and pins (my preference) alike.
