Replacing bearings on a TF Gear Classic centrepin

Hi all. I have a couple of these reels and need to replace the bearings. I did have a look on YouTube but didn't see any videos or anything else online. I will post pics tonight but the reel sections where the bearings are located on each reel are slightly different and I'm wondering how to...

    Running or fixed

Semi fixed for me. As others have alluded to, the amount of underwater videos online now show how many bites are missed. When you also consider long hooklengths, I can't help think that the chances of a hook up are reduced again. I fish the Thames and if there's a fish mouthing the bait I want...

    Lunatopes ??

Used them on the end of the rod tip and an absolute waste of money. Stay brightish for about 10 minutes max. Look at the reviews in eBay and you'll see similar comments.

Front Drag reels for barbel fishing with no baitrunner......

Thanks for all the replies, lots of opinions which are always welcome. I use these type of reels on a handful of trips so I didn't really want to spend top money so I ended up with a pair of Okuma pit reels that balance the rods nicely. I had a lively fish last week on the set up just under...

    Grab some while you can!

Just bought some meat over the weekend - have to say I find some of the Polish smoked sausage & Garlic Sausage a much firmer consistency & much more durable. Cheaper too.

Front Drag reels for barbel fishing with no baitrunner......

Fishing the Thames last night with 6oz leads and with weed on the line when reeling in, it occurred to me that my 3500 Daiwa Baitrunners may not be quite the right tools for the job! Looking online today I can see that Okuma do some reasonable Big Pit type Carp Reels with a front drag but no...

8mm thread to 3/8 bsf adapter for landing net

Sorry, that wasn't very clear. The thread for the Chinese landing net pole is 8mm - the standard thread for UK nets etc is 3/8 inch. I can't find any adaptors that go from 8mm male to 3/8 female but have seen some that are 8mm male to 10mm female. The question is whether this will accommodate a...
