Before the barbel rod market took off ,i used my bruce and walker xlt as a bread rod for chub and a waggler rod on the dove and trent , and had barbel to over 9lb on it, they took a bit of getting in but remember that rod very fondly, never had a vertical cd neil, first one i had around 1975ish...

Private from the a38 bridge downstream , dont know who has the water up from the a38 , there,s a section below walton , but one side is owned by bullivants i think( derby side) and the other has no access( by that i mean nowhere to put a car ,a long walk, and dodgy parking), the next accessable...
