Sounds like they may have reduced the quality. The thing about the earlier bags was that the zips were better than some other and more expensive brands I could mention. I still have the zips and tags intact after a lot of use over many years.
Hope they refund without any problem.
This might be of use Mark. Page 44. Ignore the photo, that is the Charente. The editor mixed the photos up.

As a lad I desired owning a Match Aerial more than any other reel. When I finally got one about 40 years later couldn't get on with it. Same with the Youngs Purist bearing reel. Hated that. But they could be sold on for what I paid for them. That is the secret. Don't pay more than it can be sold...
It is a trout river up there Mark, only open for fishing from the second Saturday in March to the last Saturday in Sept. There are some barbel a lot lower down in the Montmorillon to St Savin stretch, but not of any great size. I have seen salmon parr in the river near to Bellac and Le Dorat.
Finished Mole-Patrol early yesterday so went hunting some new swims on the Charente, off the beaten track.
Quite a complicated swim. It is mainly fed by a weir to the right supplemented by a small waterfall straight ahead, near the mill. Then there is the mill race coming in on the far...
Sounds like the leisure battery needs changing Steve. It should have charged up when you were travelling there. Order online as its cheaper. You need the dimensions and which way the terminals are arranged. I would charge it up, disconnect a terminal, leave overnight then check the voltage and...
Nice one (or two) Steve :)
As you say, for the holiday angler it takes some beating. The restaurants are good and the town has a lovely friendly atmosphere. I take it you were on the camp site at the other side of the river to the town? That one didn't used to open until July as an overspill...
I have left this alone for a couple of days while reflecting on the issues raised.
I posted the idea of BBQ mesh feeders because I thought that some people who are put off from the metal work side of things might find it useful to know that good, cheap feeders can be more easily made using this...
It is there on the thread for all to see. You are hiding the fact that you claimed that you needed to feather the line in order for the bait to sink at the hook length distance from the feeder. This was stressed by yourself as being most important and that you had seen the results many times...
No. You are trolling. That is why you won't answer the question as to why you need a swivel on the feeder if you already have one in the attachment link. All the rest, the pva bag irrelevance and use of safety links, etc is a smokescreen to hide your reluctance to answer the one simple question...
Not so fast. This contradiction needs clarifying. This is your post I referred to, what you claim never said;
"Yes it does very easily and it doesn’t need to be powerful either. I’ve sat and watched my rigs go down hundreds of times. The current has no problem aiding the rig straight if you...
The problem you describe could end up with a fish towing many metres of line around because if you haven't got a weak link on the feeder then you simply have to pull the main line for a break. That breakage could occur anywhere from the ledger stop to just above the reel. And the fish pulls all...
Perhaps you can''t / don't want to grasp what I said about seperating the breakaway clip aspect from the swivel aspect. Or perhaps you don't understand what a link swivel is if you don't want the breakaway option. Either way you still cannot / have not / will not explain what the advantage of...
Richard, initially you claimed that as long as you feathered the line and allowed the bait to precede the weight then the bait would fall to the bottom at the length of the hooklink along with the weight. This was something you had observed hundreds of times. Then belatedly you were forced to...
In a word fashion. People expect it. You have proved that point in your later comments. It is all about appearance, not function. For the record I don't have any issue with line twist because as most of us know feeders don't spin. And the feeders are strong enough to do the job they are designed...
