    Best lightweight umbrella?

Hi All Ordered a Diawa brolly from Angling direct, arrived today, weighed it, 5.12. With a screw in steel pole which weighed 1lb 8oz, swapped it for an alloy screw pole which weighed 8oz less! So have a good quality 50 inch brolly, with a quality cover, tapped seams which weighs 5. 4oz for £45!

    Chimera flood and snag

Hi All I brought a pair of Chimera 11ft 6 snag and flood rods about eighteen years ago, from Leslie of Luton, and used them as my big fish/flood rods, they are very powerful small/medium river rods that WILL stop any barbel in its tracks, but I always thought that for general barbel fishing...

    Gr60

Hi All I think it's how often you fish, that's important, more than how old it is. Until a few years ago, I would change the line twice a season! If I've not fished much then I keep using it the following season

Hi All I've used small / medium bait droppers before on small rivers, using my barbel rods (1.75/2.25 lbs) with mono mainline, however I am planning to fish some larger Weir pools / rivers next season. My question is if I use a medium spopper can I use my barbel rods with mono line or do I need...

    Best lightweight umbrella?

Hi Rob Thanks for the feedback, but I probably get the Diawa, as it looks a quality product, and I've had a Diawa infinity brolly (fiberglass arms) which was fabulous and lasted years! The new Diawa has a steel frame and pole, so I am thinking to replace the steel pole with an alloy one and...
