    Harrison Torrix 12ft 1.25lbs T.C

No, not floppy at all, tippy is what I would say. The rod is powerful in the mid to butt and I doubt not many chub can put bend it. I think this blank is very good for power float work.

    Ebay

From my understanding, only the buyer pays the fee. Seems it will automatically added to the listing price, so the seller has no control over it.

    Centre pin protective pouch

If on the rod, jw young neoprene reel pouch, I found it is better than the mill tackle one as the reel has less space to move and the neoprene is thicker than the padding of mill tackle’s pouch. Off the rod, very rare, but when I have to, the reel first in the pouch, and same as Ian, I put it...

Free spirit River Tamer 11ft 1.5

It's not that light, I think it is between 1-1.25lb TC. The light tip is definitely not too light for chubbing, I always use 1oz tip in the winter with FS rod. The tip doesn't involve too much when playing a good fish because of the through action, when the rod bends, the tip is almost straight.

Free spirit River Tamer 11ft 1.5

I have the solitude light quiver rod, I am well impressed with it, and the quiver is interchangeable with FS quiver.

Free spirit River Tamer 11ft 1.5

Nice rod, very soft and sensitive. I also have the 11ft 2lb barbel rod, also very good. The only problem I have is the handle, like Kevin said, it’s thin, I think it even thinner than darent valleys. But maybe you will get used to it.

    Chasing chub....

If you after the off the shelf floats for long trotting, I don’t think you can find better options than David Harrell bolo. But currently my favourite is Andrew Burt’s floats, looking forward to try Richard’s work.

Gamma POLYFLEX High Performance Copolymer Line

I have tried it before, tbh, I don’t think it is any better than the Gardner copolymer line.

How much are you prepared to spend…

Now, I am extremely interested in Leszek Delag aka Watermole’s reel, although I have no idea how to order from him yet (maybe through vintage fishing tackle forum?) his work is amazing. I would say definitely on par with Chris.

    Bait pouch

I use the Speedo bait caddy, it has a removable divider so you can have different baits, a hard bottom to maintain the shape, but the upper is soft so picking things is not a problem, only down side is it doesn’t have a cover.

    Harrison Torrix 12ft 1.25lbs T.C

12ft 1.25 torrix is a very tippy rod IMO. It has a sensitive tip and softish first 1/3, the butt is powerful, definitely stronger than the 1.5 version.

    The search for perfection

Some manufacturers glue the spliced tip, at least I know drennan did on one of their feeder rods. In general, a spliced tip is basically a fine solid tip that put in through the back of the top section and fixed with wrapping etc.

    The search for perfection

Richard didn’t glue his tip as far as I know. And I think you are right, you will need to reapply the epoxy after removing the tip. BTW, I don’t think hot water is hot enough to remove the tip.

    The search for perfection

I’ve been told by a rod builder that you can remove glued splice tip by heating the joint part, but that’s a hard job and require some experience, so I never tried it, but in theory it should work.

    Pimp My Chair (Trakker Nano)?

I should make myself clear, sorry for the confusion. I also have the stool, maybe that is my most used seat

    Pimp My Chair (Trakker Nano)?

No, flat. The trailer nano chair has long extendable front legs, but very short back legs, it should work well for steep banks but for flat bank, seems not so comfortable?
