Picked these up on Ebay last night, never seen them before, don't know what they are like but they are a lot of rod for the money and tick a lot of boxes for me.
Wasn't intending on buying them, although I've wanted a spliced in quiver for a while there is very little choice.
My first rod ever...
They will predominantly used for what I said but I do also fish Marsh farm for the crucians and whilst 99% of the time will use a float ok the pin there are occasions where I'd fish two on the method, although I do try to avoid this.
Thanks to everyone that has replied.
Something else has come up which may or may not do the job but I'll try them forst before deciding if I need yet more rods.
Sorry to bump such a thread but with these rods being pretty old and with a nice 'players action' would I get away with using the 1.5lb as a big perch/roach job up the Thames/Hants Avon they would they be over gunned?
Morning,
Looking at getting a pair of rods to fish for perch and roach on the tip on rivers. Mainly the Wey, Hampshire Avon and Thames.
I'd really like an old pair of Fox Duo Lite specialist but have been trying to get a pair for months with no joy.
So, my question really is would I be...
Good afternoon, been a while for me, hope your all good.
Just been visiting some friends in Salisbury and have seen vast amounts of various rivers, seem to be everywhere.
Without going onto too much detail can anyone point me in the right direction as to what river'(s) I many have seen and any...
OK, so I haven't uploaded any photos, apparently they are too big.
If anyone wants photos now I can send them via WhatsApp or I'll take some more tomorrow.
As title. These are the oldest of the GT models, before the 5010,6010, 8010's.
It's the smallest model, smaller spool and rotor although the bodies are the same size asbthe bigger versions.
I have attached a photo of the spool alongside a 6010 so you can see the difference.
£40 plus postage...
I spoke to Johnson Ross today and they are going to get back to me about ordering me a pair.
Just reluctant to incase I don't like them, although that does seem unlikely.
Yeah I agree mate, hence me asking if anyone knows anywhere that stocks them. I've got lots of custom rods but all are carp rods apart from my favourite ever which I had built this summer, my 11ft 1.75lb Torrix so it's not the first time I've been down this route.
I'd give anyone the same...
Does anyone know anywhere that stock the factory built Harrison Torrix 12ft 2.25lb?
Johnson Ross, The Tackle box, Davies Angling stock all the Torrix specialist rods except that one.
