I’ve never had one myself
The closest thing I’ve ever owned to a 2 pc 13ft rod was a compact acolyte plus. Which obviously broke down that bit further with the screw on butt section.
It was a good concept drennan did with a number of rods but I do find it’s no issue to do a similar thing with...
I know I only had a brief handle of it but i didn’t really find it to be particularly over heavy.
At 13ft you can get away with it especially as it’s not on the rods nose. I seem to remember it was quite a nicely balanced rod.
I wouldn’t have a problem holding it for a good while if I had too...
Ive stood there before and trotted that line over to those tins and there is a very easy way to avoid what he’s doing there and that’s as soon as you hit the fish you start walking back towards the bank and guide the fish straight across that fast shallow glide into a much slower flowing pool...
Took the special limited edition microlite out today beck bashing. Really great day to test that rod out which was unbelievably good at its shorter 11ft length. An absolute pleasure to play fish on its soft crisp tip. I really love the action of this little rod at 11ft a lot more than I thought...
Thanks Mike I’ll check that out because I want it to work.
I’ve got a lot of different ones but this particular one seems to be the only one consistently giving me a rap.
I’ve got a pretty good idea of what he’s hooked into as well now that I’ve clocked the location.
I’m sure others will spot it and know exactly where that is.
I do the same thing and fire them across the back of the river regularly
I’ve found The guru green cati is powerful enough to propel them the furthest but watch out.
It’s bloody lethal and I’ve actually stopped using it now as it’s the only one I’ve ever owned that I can’t technique my way...
That was one of the pictures they took and put up.
I don’t know the model, the river or what’s on the other end but it looks like a nice rod action to me. Tippy progressive crisp
I don’t understand mate, What would you expect to see to make them look “special”?
you can barely see the rod in that 30 second clip of him landing a good chub and what I can see looked exactly as you’d expect. The action on the limited pictures and video I’ve seen looks ideal.
