    Worth A Watch

The Des Taylor section in the above is a fantastic watch if you’re a lover of the cringe.

    Roach

I think keepnets become a problem when they contain too many fish and for too long. Also, how the fish are returned to the water from them can cause damage, but if used correctly, I don’t have a problem with them for the smaller species. I personally don’t use them because they’re just...

    Fishing officially permitted

Personally I think the AT have done a terrific job. Jamie Cook is really making a positive impact. Angling is an outdoors activity, so provided people adhere to the guidance, it should have no adverse impact on covid cases. Nothing is zero risk, people die getting in and out the bath.

    Wanted Dave Swallow MKI Centrepin

Only just seen this Steven. Many thanks for the offer but the engraving is important to me as it’s what makes the reel part of angling history.

    Allcocks Match Aerial

Allcocks match aerial with line guard fitted by Gary Mills when serviced about 2 years ago. Not used since, spins well. It has an extra drill hole and two rivetts on the backplate, possibly from a previous line guard. £125 posted.

    Avon Royal Supreme Centrepin

Pin is in reasonable condition given its age and spins freely. More suited to trotting on rivers with a reasonable flow or for ledgering. They have a kind of drag lever and an audible ratchet. Not sure what it’s worth but £50 posted seems reasonable looking at others on the web.

    Major Craft Benkei BFS Rod

This is a BFS baitcasting 6ft 5inch rod, perfect for finesse fishing for perch. It’s had very little use and is in excellent condition. It’s a lot of fun to use and is also capable of dealing with the odd rogue jack. I’m after £75 posted.

    Shimano Nexave 1000

This Shimano Nexave 1000 is brand new and unused. It’s the perfect budget reel for dropshotting and jigging. It is pretty light at 215g and surprisingly smooth with 3bb + 1. I’m after £30 posted.

    Daiwa River Float 15ft/17ft Rod

This rod has only been used half a dozen times and is in excellent condition. I have caught several barbel on it using Silstar match line 0.22mm straight through and found it well balanced and more than man enough for the task. It weighs 8oz at 15ft and 9oz at 17ft. £100 posted.

    Normark Avenger 13ft

Avenger 13ft float rod with screw down reel seat fitted. Original version of this rod with red tipped black whippings. Full length and in good condition. The Avenger is a stepped up version of the Titan and is an ideal chub trotting rod, capable of dealing with the occasional barbel. It’s also...
