    collingham weir?

You did not come accross as dumb mate.. it was just such an open question that could of been half answered on the first 2-3 pages on here with only a little looking:D The other thing is that most people on here have 'their own ways' which work for them.... (can open a big can of worm between...

    Are barbel the new carp?

I normally target sticklebacks with a 99p net on a bamboo handle! I think after 20 odd years of doing this i'm getting better. Nothing beats putting the net against the side of the bank and moving rocks round trying to scare this wonderful little fish into the back of the net. Sometimes I...

    Too strong?

David, I have heard these storys! Main one that sticks out, man had some sort of cat food meat that he left in his bag. Next time he went fishing it was rank as hell and stank, so he threw it in the margins and fished as normal. Couple of hours later the biggest carp seen head down on said...

    Too strong?

    Too strong?

Is there such a thing as too strong? I'm thinking of flavoring some meat up and was wondering if there was a limit to how strong the scent/flavour can be. I feel like experimenting with stuff out the kitchen for a change Thanks in advance

    Stalker Roving Seat (bum buddy)

It will have pegging points... can you not just use the rings and a clip and attach it to your ruckbag? If you need a ruckbag to go fishing, this seat is not going to be difficult to carry with the rest of you stuff! It would be nice to have a small removeable bag for the odd extras like...

    flood water fishing in winter

Got to agree with Peter here to a point... In my eyes i try to find a slack spot to put the bait. My theory is that food would be flowing with the river so why would it settle in harsh flow. so finding a deeper hole where stuff will collect is a good place. Works for me....
