Hello Neil... no mate not sticking a 6000 on the JW, have got a daiwa 3500 on there.. the 6000 reels are on a pair of heavier barbel rods that to be honest i probably won't use much, possibly at severn stoke where you can get out of the car and fish or somewhere similar... i have given up...

Maximum now of 25 miles, my nearest bit of the BA with an outside chance of a barbel is 20 mins away, luckily nearly all dual carriageway and is about 10 miles distance wise, furthest bit of the BA that i will go to is about 25 miles and a club card costs me £10 with still hardly a soul there...

6 clubs , don't know why i bother tho, only went 4 times last season, mojo seems to have gone...

Hiya John.. I rarely fish the quiver section on a twin tip rod for barbel , the avon top will do me fine, i might even paint it white yet... i'll use the quiver section at 11ft at some time or other on some other parts of the river for chub..sounds just right for me though, thanks for the info..
