    Fishing Seatbox wanted

Rive would be a good bet, plenty around, been made for ages so spare interchangeable modules readily available, they may be pricey new, but secondhand you can get a bargain.

    An apology to Richard Barnatt

Ah, I wonder what happened. I was just after some info on the Wey, specifically the depth in certain sections, as , according to the EA river monitoring web site it states that at Walsham weir it is 18.5 metres deep. Not fished the river for years, joined a club with sections of the Wey, just...

    3mtr landing net handle

Yes , it has a twist lock mechanism. Only used it a couple of times so can't comment on any major problems. I think it's made by the same people who do their rods, they seem to be well liked.

    New rods

How about Korum twin tip plus ? Has 1.75 & 2.2lb top sections to cover various conditions, maybe a "Jack of all Trades" type rod, but Korum seem to be well thought of.

    Reel Help

Been looking at reels myself, trying to find a shop to try one is the hardest part. Think I've narrowed it down to a Daiwa ninja 3012/4000/4012 (why so many models) for the float & a pair of Fox Eos 7000 for ledger rods. Couldn't see much difference between the ninja & legalis models, except the...

    Bite alarms past and present

The rich kids used half crowns on Rolls Royce hub caps. I started with fairy washing up liquid bottle tops, first electric ones were,& still are Fox micron ST's, just had to solder in a new battery holder over the years, excellent things.

    Spam alert !

I was using it by punching it out with a meat punch & hooking it direct, its fairly firm but I was only fishing in the margins on a lake, or at most 30 foot out, stayed on well. But be warned, it does taste good.

    Target weights past and present

With the number of commercial stillwaters stocking barbel, do you think a record could come from one? They are producing very large chub already. I would like a double figure tench or bream, I think they would be an impressive fish, along with a 2lb roach or rudd, or a 4lb perch.

    new reels

Just got a pair of medium LC's,part exed a pair of 6000 GTE's,the difference in smoothnes is amazing, the GTE's were very good but no match for the LC's.I wouldnt say the 6000 GTE's were a large reel,if anything seemed a bit small,LC's look at home on the carp rods. The large single handle feels a...

    Otter PR machine in overdrive

If you think otters are bad, wait till they decide to re introduce bears, wolves, lynx and many other long gone creatures that used to live in Britain, that should be entertaining.
