I recently bought this from another forum member but have had change of heart and will be staying with my 4000D / OC’s for the foreseeable future.
That said, this is a great reel made better by the Weston Development’s tuning and cosmetic touches.
This build comes with a black spigot and black...
Over the past month or so I’ve acquired a JW Young River Specialist and John Wilson (now Heritage) from members of this forum.
Whilst they are both in good condition I’d like them serviced before they are pressed into use.
I hear good things about servicing via JW Youngs but what is the...
I’m going to jump on the bandwagon and try one of these (with upgraded bearings) for general / Chub trotting duties. Typically bigger/heavier float work so not so precious over what it takes to rotate on the spindle.

Agreed, based on my limited knowledge.
Hence wanting to choose and stick with something proven until I have enough confidence in other aspects of my fishing.
Interesting feedback.
Many factors involved of course and if there was one ‘do it all’ bait then of course we’d all be using it.
I just want to be confident and stick it out with something proven for the first few months of the season (at least)
As we approach the start of the season I’m in the process of nailing down my bait choices for the warmer months.
Going down the JB route after seeing a recent thread on here.
Anyone else specifically using Taste F2?
