to be honest Bob I think your right but not only Nash all the manufacturers, we seem to have gone on to a two piece rod culture as it is and to be honest it does not suit myself and God knows how many others have the same problem when getting the rods into the motor without rearranging the car...
Maybe a strange question but does anyone still make a three piece barbel rod (not carp rods)I don't mind setting up on the bank but will make it a lot easier to get in the motor. thanks
Gave it a good cleaning today Richard pulled the cloth through twice and couldn't believe the amount of crap that came out and sprayed on the WD then pulled the cloth through again and left it I'm the sum for a couple of hours copper slipped the screw and works like a good un and dare I say...
Wouldn't myself Richard but I do put a tiny bit of copper slip on the thread of the bung thingy but I suppose you could put WD down to clean but personally I would make sure I got it all out with the Jay cloth method. 👍
They do I believe Chris but I believe it is a good walk as only members allowed through the gate with a car ,tickets on the bank I believe and a little cheaper from the takle shop near Dunham the name just escapes me at present.
I clean mine with a length of string dropped through with the help a a bit of lead tied on one end and a piece of jay cloth tied on the other , pull it through a couple of times takes all the grit etc out no prob but don't put oil or anything down as could stop the little rubber thingy from...
Thanks for your replies chaps, to sum your educated comments up they seem seem to be a good hook but make a point of checking the points regularly which I think is a fair assesment
Many thanks.
Bought some of these off flea bay in a clearance sale and they look very good but my concern is to say they are sharp is an understatement but also leads me to wonder if they are maybe to sharp giving the gravel and boulders on the Trent possibly blunting the hook points, has anybody any feelings...
I had a 13 foot shimano triple taper tip or ttt in the mid eighties lovely rod but if my memory serves me right lent itself to the waggler more than the stick float, I think I paid well over £100 for it gave it to my brother and think he still has it.
used to have a pair of these for occasional use when I had my caravan, surprisingly good and excellent value and does the job without breaking the bank.
