Ok thanks Bill / Richard. Just saw them when looking at the 4000 oc (which seem hard to find) and thought they looked ok at that price. I still use my old Okuma dynadrags when a centrepin isn't practical and they've been brilliant but might treat myself. Cheers

Has anyone tried the ST4000FB reels ? I realise that they're 'entry level' reels but wondered if they're any good.

That's very sad news. I didn't know Steven personally but always enjoyed his informative posts on here. Also his you tube videos of classic old fishing programmes. Seemed to be a proper old traditionalist & really nice person. Real shame - RIP Chavender
