Adrian, that would be it, when Brian still used to own it. I think I've frequented all the pubs around there at some time, a few sadly no longer there. Always used to like the Woodbridge as well.
Hi Neil, I used to live just over the river there, the mucky duck the other side of the bridge being my local. A bit far though now and new owners (and barmaid) since I was last there :(
Hi Dave,
I was using it as a wrap around a matching pellet (either ellips or halibut) as I prefer to use a hair but I think it would have been good enough to use on it's own, I just had more confidence with it around a pellet. In the winter I would often leave a bait out for over an hour and...
1/3 fishmeal (something like provimi 66), 1/3 ground pellet (ellips or halibut), 1/3 ground hemp. You can use exactly the same mix in the feeder. Caught a lot of Barbel with that, summer and winter.
I think there is a lot of difference between somebody plugging Shimano or Harrison (who they have no association with) and somebody plugging a company that sponsors them (who they wouldn't plug otherwise).
The way I see it is; as soon as the person making the plug is receiving something for...
Dave, it's not easy mate. American beer is not very good (I'm being extremely polite there) but you can at least get some reasonable imported bottled stuff.
Naa it's more limiting your beer drinking to premium bitter. :D
Always been an all rounder but now I don't have any option, no Barbel over here. I do miss those summer nights on the river though.
Haha, thanks Pete. I don't remember going to play on the swings but I'll take your word for it.
As Pete said I first started fishing for Barbel at school, but I was an avid match angler in my youth and Barbel were just another fish that I fished for. I was just as happy fishing for Bream in...
In the age of digital cameras why take the picture so close that you risk cuting bits of yourself or the fish off. Resolution is so good now on most cameras that you can afford to take the picture on the large side and just trim it on the computer when you get home so that it fills the frame how...
Hi Andy, all looks good. The only one that does not appear to be working is the Galllery in IE8. The whole menu bar is left aligned on the page and the dropdowns are not working.
Hi Andy, I've had a quick look through with IE8 and Firefox. Firefox looks okay but IE8 has some problems on some page but seems to work fine on others.
Some examples; the home Page is good, the Forums are offset, the Gallery doesn't work at all.
Working with IE my guess is that you may...
Hi Lars, yes I guess it depends on what you hold as a constant. For me the most important thing is knowing the b/s as that's what's important for balancing my tackle and gives me an idea of how much presure I can use. So what B/S to use will be my first decision, then what brand of line to use...
