Saw Countryfile lastnight, some woman in Derbyshire breeding giant otters, 2 metres long these things, god forbid if they ever get loose.

Otters are no longer a rare sight, they do not justify their protected status, they should be in the same category as Mink and Foxes and the right to control them should be allowed.

Catching the Impossible was a very well made series, when that managed to make it onto Channel 4 it was on a Sunday morning at about 5am, what a waste. Give me fishing programmes like that over the Essex Boys Pukka Brigade any day.

The tinned stuff was brilliant as a 50/50 paste ingredient. The Boilies where good catchers too. Apparently they could no longer source the main ingredient in it so stopped making it.

I imagine larger fish are easier to catch for a variety of reasons too.

You know it would n't be half as bad if they actually ate all of what they catch, but they don't, they eat the insides and a little flesh, they have to catch 4 or 5 fish to eat the equivalent of one whole one. Such a destructive predator, these are Swale fish on a Leeds DASA stretch.

If you have bought a licence and are waiting for it to come through they would never prosecute you for fishing without it. A quick check by a EA baliff over his radio would confirm you have payed and they'd leave it at that.
