Do anglers who agree with the close season on rivers fish Stillwaters on the 3 month break and what is their reasoning behind it?

Looks like this thread could go on & on,why not extend the season by 4-6 weeks and start it later,there's been plenty of times I've seen barbel spawning in July,also it would give them more time to recover their strength.Just throwing another equation in the mix

Your correct a consultation means nothing they already know what they are doing,has a London black cab driver I've filled in more consultations than I care to remember our Mickey Mouse regulator just bins them
