No idea what that’s supposed to be showing? It’s just a list of issues that individuals have reported, every car in the world will have a similar list. The 1.5dci engine isn’t in the ‘bad points’ list, the tow bar part is irrelevant to that engine too as we have one fitted..
I’m just giving...
Depreciation is no worse than most other cars, Nissan certainly aren’t as bad as some. The 1.5dci engine (or versions of it) was used by multiple manufacturers.
I’m struggling to believe a 2 year old modern car somehow rusted unless it had been sat in a river for 6 months 😆 There’s a 12...
Excessive running costs in what way? We’ve had ours 4 years and it hasn’t cost a penny other than normal servicing. 60mpg and £20 a year tax is a cheap as it gets. A round trip to Sutton which is 70 miles cost me around £7 in diesel last season (obviously will be more with the current ridiculous...
My wife has a Nissan Quashqai 1.5 dci that I always nick for fishing. Huge space with the seats down, high seating position, 60mpg on a run, £20 a year tax, enough ground clearance to drive over floodbanks and bumpy fields.
We’ve done 40,000 miles in it so far without a hitch (It’s currently...
I’ve had a JRC Extreme TX pod for a few seasons. Fully adjustable legs in any direction, adjustable main body length, zero twist. It’s an absolutely rock solid piece of kit.
Downside is it isn’t light so you wouldn‘t want to carry it any sort of distance! I do use single sticks and Korum screw...
I tie a load of hook sections up at home and finish with a micro swivel, then can tailor the length and material of the main section whilst on the bank. Plus, if the main section gets damaged on rocks or snags you can just cut it off at the swivel and quickly change it.
Loop to loop works well...
Yeah I appreciate that’s the preferable option, but an entire day spent driving over 400 miles didn’t really appeal. I ended up buying some factory build Hi S instead, which I love so all ended well.
I wonder how many people (both sellers and buyers) fall foul of this. I was going to order some custom rods from Mark Tunley but noticed in the small print they weren’t insured if you wanted them delivered. Needless to say I wasn’t risking £800 of carbon arriving in pieces, and I don’t blame...
Just going by my own experience of using them on the Tidal Trent. Cranking a heavy lead back over a rocky bottom feels like I have to wind like mad with the SS2600. It may not even be noticeable in other situations though.
I don’t want to dislike reels I spent £150 each on, but they’ll be for...
My opinion having got sets of both Daiwa SS2600 and Okuma Inception 6000 is that the Okumas are better reels. Much smoother, faster retrieve, very positive bail arm lock and a quick drag that’s really good out of the box.
The fact I bought 4 of the Okumas for £180, and 2 of the SS2600 for £250...
Just weighed a couple of my reels as I was sure they were lighter than anything else I am using.
Shimano baitrunner 10000RB 576g. (Only difference between 10000 and 6000 is the spool capacity and about 5 grams)
Daiwa Emblem 45 645g.
Okuma inc 6000 496g.
Sure I’ve weighed the old 4500GT...
Another vote for Okuma Inception 6000 - and not just for the price, they’re damn good reels regardless. I have some SS2600’s that are 3 times the price and the Okumas make them feel like slow retrieving, wobbly relics.
I also have sets of Daiwa Emblem 45’s (on the big side, I also had one...
I have a set of the Inception 6000’s, as well as SS2600’s, Emblem 45 SCW’s, Baitrunner 4500’s and 10000’s. The Okumas quickly became my go-to reels for the Trent. They make the SS2600’s feel like wobbly relics (much as I hate to say it, as the SS were £150 each including speed caps!).
They’re...
