Chatted with some local boys who'd fished it for years and were grumbling that certain mainland europeans had emptied the river of barbel, trout and chub over last decade. A noticeable decline in fish stocks in that time apparently. 20 years ago they said it was full of barbel. Roll on the Wye...

Ive got 2 okuma longbow that i plan to use for barbel this season. I got them From ebay about £19 each with spare spool. I have to say for the money they are excellent.
