All of the Vauxhall stretches hold barbel, some of them very big. If he's prepared to put the hours in then he'll do ok, don't expect a fish every cast though.

I went all out and got one of the tf gear juggernauts. Superb bit of kit, the three chunky wheels are ideal for long hauls with the overnight kit on rough banks. No need for lifting just push it along. It is very heavy though, which is good as it's very well made, but folds away fairly well.

Check out the Advanta memory foam chair that Angling Direct do. I've got one and it is very comfy indeed, not a recliner but not what I required. Highly recommended!
