Neil, above cowbridge is on my radar (courtesy of pm already received). I had a chance to fish the bit at cowbridge down from the weir to the bridge a few years ago, but let it go at the time and i dont think it has fished well in recent years. I may have a look above the weir after work friday...

Have used them, they work, but havent found need to use them that often. Find that the flow doesnt really impact on bouyancy of pop ups much at all as the flow is often more pacy on top than it is on the deck on the deeper rivers i fish. Maybe more of a problem on fast flowing shallow rivers.

Chris, some v v good redfins in there, but also lots of crays and trout. Find it too shallow and slow to trot most of the time, so happier on the tip. The roach can feed throughout the day, but the trout have hogged the action until after dark on the last 2 trips. I'm being optimistic after...

Nice way to fish for em Steve, havent trotted a float for roach for about 30 years. I'm fishing in around 18" - 36" of water on the upper bristol avon, so i find it easier to fish the tip, but having fished for barbel for so long, i keep expecting a three foot twitch and it just doesnt happen. ;)

The brown trout and signal crayfish really love the B911s.:rolleyes: Had a couple of redfins to just over a 1lb, but not many roach about last night.:( Paul

Brian, There is a waiting list for members (bearing in mind it is a carp fishery) and it's over £500 p.a. Not sure what is happening to the tincas, but i will try to find out. I think the EA are relocating them. Paul
