High point, was on the opening weekend, 10lb barbel and a 5lb chub plus a river carp about 5lb in one short evening session on the wandle, low point having my garage broken into and my fav rod stolen still waiting for it to come through insurance, have not been motivated enough to go out since!!

found both methods work well, but is still best to drill your own as the hole will be that much smaller, which ensures the water gets into the pellet slower so less chance of breakdown over time or by chub etc!! tend to use a needle friendly pellet myself , they are squeezeable but have a hard...

I would also take into account the expected density of fish!! Personally, I fish a small river with not a great head of fish to target. So i bait up with halibut groundbait with a helping of smaller pellets and a sprinkle of 8mm but fish 10mm on hook!! Seems to work for me.

I think it is , not heard of many bigger! and to think we lost roach over 2lb and chub3-4lb loads of dace and barbel up 8lbs in a massive pollution two seasons ago!! Have now done the two out of three, 5lb chub, 10lb barbel, only the elusive 2lb Wandle roach to go lol!!
