Bisterne might be worth a look. Lovely looking stretch with some classic Avon looking swims. Not too far to walk to the river but doesn’t open to coarse rods until 1st of August. Details on the CAC website.

I have two of each of the above and find them very versatile. I have had barbel over fifteen on the SU version and barbel of twelve plus on the 1 - 6 version from the Avon.

I asked this question once before but no one seemed to know so I’ll ask again in case there are new watchers. Did they fix the issue with the mark Is, whereby it had a tendency to wobble under pressure when playing a fish, when they bought out the mark II ?

I have a couple of the 2500 DL FBs twinned with Harrison Avon SU 1 10s and have been very happy with them on small rivers while roving around.

Can anyone advise whether the Mk II RW Rolling pin cured the tendency for the reel to wobble when playing a fish. I believe the Mk I’s suffered from this problem and it has always put me off buying one.
