Never really used them in earnest for Barbel...... Despite what the 'experts' will tell you, I've always found 2 Whites better for Grayling, a single Bronze for decent Chub and a couple of reds for Dace.............. For Roach Casters..........
Would be better if he would limit the numbers....... Lovely place, fished it 3-4 times with mixed results (best day was 4 Barbel to 9-14). Contains some good Chub too. Very pretty setting, but best fished mid-week after the summer......
90% of my fishing is done with Clive and these days we are NEVER in a rush....... It's all about just being there and enjoying the craic with a good friend !!! We both fish like idiots half the time, but that's part of what makes it so enjoyable.......

Yep, those hemp bites are lightening !! I've even had them BURY the float and perform an 'air strike'..........
