6000 or 8000 oc I use these on my heavier setups and they balance out well on 12ft 2.2lb and 13ft 2.5lb’s

4000oc’s on 1.75lb for normal work/conditions 6000oc’s on 2.2lb for big flood/13ft 2.5’s Trent Flood I’ve had Shimano oc reels since 2016 without issue.

I was after one of those, wasn’t impressed with it in the shop, tried it side by side with a nash indulgence ultra light and there is no comparison in comfort and build quality. Slightly heavier but still a very light chair. I’m 16.5 stone used the nash one without issue so far…...

I’d drop down to a 1lb TC for perch, I was using a 1.25lb series 7 Avon and suffered from hook pulls. Changed to the more recent 1lb drennan specialists and landed significantly more fish.

You can buy the European version of the D with a handle similar to the OC reels

I would get the 13ft korum 2.5’s, 8oz + is no problem for these rods.
