Most braid users up the BS to get a decent diameter - its the "nick on snag" factor that concerns me for low diameter mianlines (whether mono, flouro, braid or this)

Mine has netted 150+ fish to 16lb over the last seson or two and still going strong. It has a Metal Spreader Block and I can change the mesh easily.

I was in a similar situation., and could not get hold of "Barbel The Immortal Challenge" for anytihng but silly money so bought the combined book for £25.

I hummed about this last winter. I settled on the Wychwood Extremis - it suits me for the day light roving for Perch and dusk onwards for Barbel. If I was not roving about so much I might have gone for one of the super warm Prologic ones.

All depends on whether you like fishing with black line. As they cannot perceive red, a red object will appear some other hue, probably a dark grey. It will not be invisible
