Hydropower application for the Swale at Topcliffe.

You can't match fish the Topcliffe stretch so a new car park and an annual fee sound like a great idea  Has anyone contacted the AT?

    Which quality centrepin?

Ian - that sounds like a good idea. I wasn't aware that some pins came with spare spools. Thanks for the reply.

    Which quality centrepin?

Evening gents. With a birthday fast approaching i have decided to treat myself to a really nice pin. I have been periodically using a marco cortesi which has whetted my appetite, and now i am looking at one with a budget up to £200 i guess. It isn't for barbel particularly, just general...

    RIP Terry Lampard

I really like that DVD and love his contribution to Catching the Impossible. Who can forget the 3lb Stour roach? He seemed like a really nice chap and was certainly an angling legend. Sad news RIP.

    RIP River Colne.

The otters have driven the mink away then ;) I'd like to see an otter take on one of the numerous resident goosanders. Hopefully be a fight to the death

Well done the Angling Trust. Another reason to join....

Your argument no longer holds water. What about the proposed hydroelectric power station on the Trent the AT successfully opposed? How else would there have been a resolution to the seal incident without the intervention of the AT? I concur with Steve - i think it is little short of a...

    Remember your first barbel bite?

Great to read that again Anthony. For me, after a similarly long break from fishing, the first barbel i tangled with when i reignited my passion were imprisoned in a muddy puddle. I decided that i must catch one in its natural environment. Unfortunately it was winter and i didn't have any...

    Boots

Likewise. Best boots i've tried for keeping the old plates of meet warm, and comfortable and good grip on mud to ..er.. boot.

    Otters.....man to sue EA

Could have been mink or more likely they died of natural causes and were eaten by rats....;) Seriously, good luck to the chap. If he did manage to win it would be a landmark case indeed.

    Perch

Had a lovely afternoon on the wonderful River Nidd with Anthony. In spite of the cold, the perch were biting.

    Good chub rod

I love this rod. It's one of my favourites. At its best chubbing/perching on small rivers but i also love it for tench as long as the range isn't too extreme. It's beautifully finished, and the action makes it an absolute pleasure to play fish on. I've also got the Drennan avon quiver 1.25tc...

    mink

    Goodbye teme-severn baits

I think that's sad news. Made some excellent boilies and pellets and the service was first rate. :(
