I became obsessed with trying to catch a double and ended up fishing like a plank! Just enjoy being out on the river now and any barbel is a joy to catch.
I remember taking my German Shep out with me a couple of years ago. I cast out my feeder only for it to be closely followed by 5 stone of dog who decided he would helpfully go and fetch it for me!!! Didnt see the funny side of it at the time!!

Has anybody ever booked a trip? I am trying to fix one up for when i go in March but the only company i have found off the wants £300pp for 4 hours fishing. :eek:

I'm going to go completely against everybody's views here! I have a greys progidy rod and I absolutey love it. Absolutely perfect for the Wye and Bristol Avon and was absolutely fine chucking 3 oz feeders around on the trent.
