    Float fishing for Barbel

Conditions have been great and for a couple of weeks things have got in front of me, just to even get out. Having caught a few barbel in most months, I was happy to tick off a float caught November barbel, they were there, but didn't particularly want it as a few foul hookings, confirmed that.....

    Winter is coming

I have always been an advocate of British forces lightweight goretex jackets and trousers, always been absolutely fantastic for the money. A minus was no hood on some jackets... last month I was given at a bargain price some of the new Trakker TechnPro waterproof jackets and trousers. I fished a...

As far as I'm concerned; double legs on butt section, one double on tip section and followed by singles through to the tip.. K guides are fantastic, wouldn't look any further. Strong and extremely hard wearing and durable. I'm sure there are other brands coming through that are similar or even...

    Barbel float Rod difference Diawa

Still got the F1, never seen another. I had the 17/20 conny too. Great rod and was still good at 17, was also rated to 10lb line. With the advent of top and bottom sliders for deep water, suitable for the type of fishing I required, I moved it on. One I have rekindled a love of this year, is my...
