Another little update. Out again with the other battery in but decided to use the other light as well although since Iv been thinking about it that could squiff the results of the battery life experiment but too late now. One thing I have noticed is that this light is no where near as sensitive...
I will get an idea cause if the other one lasts 160 hours then I’ll know the first was dodgy. If it lasts the same time then I know they’ll need charging more often. I’m not gonna mess about charging them for 8 hours every week if they don’t need it
I charged them both when I brought them but have only used the one which died on me this weekend. Iv recharged that one but think I’ll try using the other one first to see how long that lasts to get an idea of whether or not that’s how long they actually last rather than the stated 160 hours or...
To be fair they didnt flash very often but each time they flashed the tip never moved. It’s only as I saw the silhouette of a moth next to it when it happened that I’m assuming it was the moths setting it off.
Yeah. Opening night I unscrewed it to push the battery in and for some reason it just stayed green no matter how much I was swinging it about in my hand. Took it back out and in again and it started flashing. Mine are sensitive as hell. To the point where I noticed moths were setting it off...
Decent size snake that as well. I fished with one in my peg last season but thankfully it stayed in stingers. I’d of had to moved if it came out. If it was in my gear I’d probably abandon it lol
When I first got into barbel fishing I had a 3kg bucket of pellets that I’d brought from a carp show about 5 years before and only ever used a hand full. I used them as hook baits on the river and used pva mesh bags of mixed size fresh pellets and caught hundreds of fish on them. They lasted a...
I had the fox stalker scales and they lasted 2 years before they went completely out of sync weight wise. Found out you need to get them calibrated every couple of years. My mate had these scales and never had a problem. They always seemed to pretty much match other scales. Fox wanted £35 plus...
Surely if it was road run off all rivers would be suffering same fate. Seems like they can’t be arsed to investigate or they know who’s responsible and don’t want to get their mates in trouble
Had about 25 8 hour session blanks on the bounce the start of last season with only about 3 little knocks in that time. Makes the first fish all that more special
Air dry boillies for 3 days and they will go hard as marbles. I guess once cast out eventually they will soften up but I guess most of us don’t fish sessions long enough for that to happen
I don’t mind ordering rods from tackle shops to be delivered cause if it turns up broke you’ll get your money back or a replacement but I wouldn’t spend big money secondhand without collecting myself as one of you is losing out if it arrives damaged
