    Roach

I'm with Graham on this. I have used a keepnet for years and too many times I have not used one and stopped catching especially when chub fishing. I fished matches and organised them for years as well as looking after the venues. Over that time I have seen many fish damaged by poor handling and...

    Power pro super slick braid

I use Sufix 832 for long range feeder fishing although I don't do much of that anymore. I also use it quite a lot lure fishing in the sea. It pulls big wrasse out of kelp beds and seems very reliable, nice and soft and easy to fish with. I would recommend it.

Looking for a new chub reel

Just get a Cadence 4000, light, strong and smooth, choose a model to suit your budget. Working parts are the same across the range including the clutch, just depends what body material and how many ball bearings you want to pay for.

Looks like fishing from this Wednesday

Lockdown update: What are the new rules set out by Boris Johnson? https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/explainers-52530518 The BBC understands that the changes in the guidelines will mean two friends would be able to sit more than two metres apart in a park, and also that sports like golf, tennis...

    Angling Trust

I don’t know Neil I’ll ask. Apparently you can drive there and they had a car behind them so perhaps just chancers? I used to fish the GUAA Lower Lode (left bank) and I’ve fished the Tewkesbury water on the Ham again left bank as you know. This was right bank right above the weir I’ll let you...

    Angling Trust

Neil, first, they should not be fishing at the moment, second the description "3 idiots chucking big green lures and drinking beer" which was what I was told does not fit with salmon anglers. They were above the weir opposite the Ham not on Tewkesbury water.

    Cadence #4 feeder 13ft 8"

The rings are plenty big enough IMO. I've fished with quiver tips at long range (up to 100m) and never had a shockleader or line thickness issue. Sorry but I cannot see a problem. I use line up to about 0.30mm

    Cadence #4 feeder 13ft 8"

It is a hollow tip, had a go with one a few weeks ago, very good bit of kit, length and action makes it very versatile.

    Popped up maggots.

Used to pop them up or make them slightly buoyant all the time when bream fishing, tips I picked up in Holland where they always use floaters. Get some fresh maggots Put a handful in a bait box and add some warm / hot water, just enough to wet them At this point they will wriggle like mad...

    Angling Trust scandal !!!

If the ones to be hit hardest are Drennan Team England then Peter Drennan should have thought about this before he decided he should pick the team and hold the AT to ransom which is what this is about. The missing money is a smokescreen as said before. If that was not the case then surely a bit...
