I have written to the EA to exercise the freedom of information act on this fish kill / pollution incident .
I won’t hold breath … other than that it seems to me that it’s business as usual and you would hardly know it has happened.
Two large angling clubs have acted in my opinion very poorly...
Yet BAA have matches on wasperton this weekend. Leamington also allowing Fishing. You would have to be some proper selfish bastard to put fish in a keepnet after this …. That’s if you even want to sit amongst the stench of rotting fish .
I can’t imagine any angler worth his salt wanting to go...
This is it Neil . I looked on the EA Facebook page .. it reads like an absolute shit show .
They have changed the EA logo to a rainbow logo though so at least they are getting their priorities right !!!!
Every other post on the EA page refers to the investments they have in the very water...
I believe that is the right course of action. I hope the BAA and LAA follow suit but very much doubt it . I seem to be getting very conflicting reports from the people I’m in contact with .

Your quite right Mark . I’ve not fished Barford for years but am told it isn’t as prolific . The other stretches below have definitely been hit my predators .. I’ve seen otters many times . The stock is thinner for sure . If you find them then you are in with a chance of a good fish 😊🌞🎣
Not heard of any Barbel being found dead ? Skimmers , small silvers and some big chub . The fish were in Warwick town which is well above Barford .
There are barbel in Warwick and further up than that though . They tend to be thin on the ground though .
Just had confirmation that the fish kill is through Warwick . The fish found at Barford have floated down .
Having fished the town waters in Warwick and down through to Barford I know there are / were dense shoals of silver fish .
Not sure if the route cause but I’d guess at oxygen levels as...
