Looked at chub fishing this river many times on the BAA stretch . However it's meant to be tough going for all species .
Have a look on Sutton Coldfield angling Facebook page . They have a stretch of the river . Sorry I couldn't be more positive 🎣😎👍
I'd recommend Arley from the car park upstream . However a lot of the BAA middle Severn stretches are suitable for trotting .
The caution would be check the levels before you go as the river can rise quickly if it rains in wales 😎👍🎣🎣🎣
over the past 6 months I've broken both my top and middle sections of my acolyte .. just the butt section to go and I'll have a brand new rod 😬😬

I'd recommend the Mainline Big river barbel range . Pellets , groundbait , and dumbbells . Also a very pungent liquid that creates a great scent trail . Also the range is black in colour so is subtle 🌞🎣🎣
