Got all of them here, all made up and ready to go and I'm not saying a word.
I have my 'Avon' hat at the moment and putting bends in 11' Torrix (Avon) 1.5, 11' Avon 1lb 6oz and 11' Chimera Avon 1.25 and having fun.
Cheers
Bob
Sorry for the delay in answering but I have used all three in fishing situations and the 1.75 is the sweetest for me and never once let me down or given me any concerns. Something special.
I'll leave it at that.

I was told by Harrison years ago that the butt sections differed on the 11' Torrix and how to differentiate between them. However, that was many years ago and things may have changed.
Butts as well as tips can be constructed of different carbons.

Have the specific blank details somewhere on an old computer. Remember Andy being a bit miffed when PB discontinued them and he had to find a suitable substitute(s) from another manufacturer.

Chimera 1 12' 1.5 is a nice rod - there is also the Chimera Avon at 11' 1.25. Will always like the standard 11' Avon 1lb 6oz which is a classic.

Yes, lots of choice out there and some good rods - usually cheaper too.
As you said the Dave Mason rod was great but got discontinued - one of the hazards when dealing with the 'american' market. Full marks to Andy Sliwa for doing the legwork in finding them.
Bought some blanks and made them up...
