How much are you prepared to spend…

Chris, how do you get Notts Piscatorials for £50? When I checked seemed much more?

How much are you prepared to spend…

Like you Tim, I'm a multi species and technique angler. From fly fishing to trotting a float to chasing mullet and pike fishing. I have probably 24 rods only. But all are used. I do like a change within each type of species targeted. However one day I'll use a 14ft Hardy circa £350 the next a...

    What bait?🤔

I've caught barbel on black pudding (all it's fit for) and corned beef in the past.

1.5lb TC nice through action for chubing anyone?

What Neil said. For its price the 12ft All Rounder is the perfect rod for chub feeder fishing. I did a write up on it somewhere on BFW. I have used it on Throop, Hampshire Avon and the Severn and bite indication and playing action is Superb. It will be suitable for all rivers.

    Rod for grayling

Steven. Just buy a 14ft Hardy Marksman. It's perfect for good sized grayling. I use mine on the Test, Frome, upper Wye and, probably nearer your river, the Taff

    Centrepin line issues.

I thought you were a Silstar match team man like me DT. I've got a 5lb drennan line unused in the shed, a pair of the one spool I chucked after one session!

    Another Wye bit to buy.

Well, income on the stretch is around 4k pa. If that was increased by promotion to 8k you'll be getting a fair ROI compared with the market. The difference is also affected by available fishing water. Trent and Wye are pretty big with lots of access available, as not so much syndicated and...

    Another Wye bit to buy.

Ha. I'm guessing more open country, cheaper housing, less traffic( Goodness how I hate the Bournmouth /Ringwood Jams and cameras) Less competition from other anglers, eg top Longford and Winkton, smaller Barbel, smaller Roach, smaller Chub, smaller Grayling.

    Your angling journey.

Well Andrew, very similar apart from 35 years after barbel😄 Next step then will be fishing for Zander and pike on the fly!

    Another Wye bit to buy.

It says circa 100k Derek. I would say that's an excellent double bank piece. If I was 20 years younger.........

    Another Wye bit to buy.

Another bit of river was sold into 12 parts. Less than 1/3 of this sizewise. In 3 years the units have increased 50pc on resale Just saying.
