Hi all
After doing some Google research I found out the difference between the Fox FX blanks (2 & 3k carbon) and the rod that replaced it - Fox Duo lite (1 & 2k carbon)
So can anyone tell me which type of carbon is better for rod blanks?
Also I found out you can get 6, 9, 12 & 24k carbon...
Hi Steve
Yes Fox Duo Light with the green blanks did come befor the FX rods, but Fox discontinued the FX Rods and replaced them with the Fox Duo with the same black carbon weave blanks.
I am trying to find out what the difference is between the Fox FX and the Fox Duo that replaced it, which was...
Hi All
Does anyone know what the difference is between Fox FX twin tip barbel rods with the white tips and the Later Version - Fox Duo Light twin tip barbel rods?
I believe it's the same blank just different cosmetics?
Regards Wayne
Hi Fished there a few times, are you staying at the Red Lion? They have a map with most swim's marked on it or ask for details of swim's. I preferd the area downstream of the washing machine swim's, deeper steady water, fishing one or two rods out. Regards Wayne

Hi All
Thanks for the all replies.
IMHO I think freshly made / frozen and defrosted just before using is best, which is why I am so particular with regards to my barbel boilies, however I don't think chub are as fussy as barbel! I would never refreeze boilies to use for the next fishing...
Hi All
So back to my question -
What is your thoughts on re freezing boilies? There's lot of boilie company's that post frozen boilies so lots of you should have an opinion!
Tried this a couple years ago, didn't catch anything on it! To be fair many years ago I did use Hi Nu Val ( home made boilies) for barbel fishing and had loads of chub on it, but if using barbel gear they don't count!
Hi Julian
Thought about this but out of stock of cheese and garlic! Again looking for a good quality ready made or base mix.
You still owe me, so PM me your recipe😏
Regards Wayne
With winter just around the corner, it's time to think about chub fishing, so this season I was thinking of making or buying some Cheese Boilies instead of cheesepaste.
Can anyone recommend a base mix for this - Nutrabaits Hi Nu Val is discontinued, so the only other milk protein base I know is...
Hi all
Was in a tackle shop yesterday, and looked at the Drennan brolly - yes the centre pole did seem excessively long! I would remove the locking nut, cut the pole down and drill a hole in pole for locking nut - simple job.
Chris please can you give us a long term feedback, iam sure there's...
Hi Chris
As the centre pole is remarkable, then it could be replaced with a shorter pole. I brought a Diawa brolly which came with a steel pole and replaced it with an aluminium one. Like the idea of the short pole on the korum brolly, it's something I'll have to look into
