I have a set of 4000d's and was thinking about the ICE washers which apparently are "self lubing". Was wondering if any folk on here have done this change, what's your opinion. I suspect the clutch will go to something like a quarter turn from loose to tight and I'm a bit wary of that...cheers
Not sure what PIPS mean? If your trying to take the Michael then I couldn't give a fig, angling for me is about things other than pictures or weights anymore..
I used to be fixated by weights but most fish I have been lucky enough to catch over recent years I won't bother weighing, no urge to. Only if it's exceptional will I dig out weighing kit. Many a big Carp and Barlbel over 12 pounds...
Had Carp to 36lb on a Barbel Trotter/centrepin combo, had a lot of hid rods in times past. Paul is an interesting fellow with a good deal of knowledge.
I believe the bottom half of the rod is the same as a 1.5 version, I have two and perfect Chub rod if not needing a quiver tip rod. Non snag swims for Barbel ok too...
This pod is unused from around 2010, made from 716 Stainless, these were very popular back in the day, rare to see them around. Can fish rods high and lower very quickly, suited for our bigger rivers I guess. High quality bit of kit and tbh I'm not sure what to ask for it, say £150.
Regards...
