    Perch

Thank you men. I think that location is the hardest part of perch fishing, once you find them, they can often hang themsleves. I'll be doing the odd perch session, but wont up my game until after xmas. Good luck guys. :) Paul

    Golden Grey Mullet

Andy, Chuffed to be there to witness the capture, not seen a golden grey in the flesh before and what a terrific fish it was/is. I reckoned it was 2lbs 8oz, but i guess we will never know. :o Great weekend, a few fish, more than a few beers and if i remember correctly, a few renditions...

    Deadbait rods for Zander .

Gary, You could try looking for some old 2.25 test Fox Zandermasters; i owned a pair for around 5 years before flogging them to a mate, because i just wasnt getting to use them. I do regret that sale, as they were great rods. :( Paul

    Perch

Steve, Nice brace matey :D I usually look for structures as well, almost anything man made seems to attract perch, such as walls, bridge supports and fishing platforms etc. Have had some good fish literally at my feet on platforms with my 12' float rod often feeling too long. Dont be...

    accomodation

John, Happy to assist mate; if you do decide to go you will find Martin very likeable and happy to share his methods and Jan will bring cups of tea down to you when you are fishing in the garden. Paul

    accomodation

John, I was in the barbel catchers with Martin for over 11 years, so i have been lucky enough to stay at the cottage many times. I cant guarantee you will get a double, but there is as good as anywhere on the teme and the stretch from powick down to the confluence has very good big fish form...

    accomodation

Adrian, Most on big lumps of spam, open bail. ;) You'd need a punkawalla or carp barrow to carry his sausage baits to the river. :D Paul

    accomodation

John, Could try Martin Cullens place, Temeside Cottage. Have a look at rivers/teme/accomodation. Not sure how it is fishing as i havent seen Martin in a while, but ive had a fair few doubles out of his garden swims. Paul

    Roach

Thanks Robert, you are bang on. And if it was easy it wouldnt be as enjoyable; i had forgotten how powerful roach can be on light tackle, absolute scrappers arent they. :)

    Roach

Managed a 1-8 last night, so slowly edging up the weight, but still a way off the target for a new pb and a half decent 2 plusser. Enjoying every minute of this challenge though; completely side tracked for the time being. :D

    Porky Pig.

Good rods mate and still useful imho. In the days before mass produced barbel rods, they were the dogs for feeder fishing on the severn. :)
