    Korum Omega rods

It's a shame Fosters Bob the Rod is no more, he did a no frills 11 ft Torrix for about £180 iirc. I will have a look around to see if anything out there, but they are snapped up quickly or want silly money.

    Korum Omega rods

I was going to say think about Torrix...the 11ft 1.75 is ideal for the Warks Avon. Well balanced and if you do get one if those lumps it has enough muscle. It also makes a brilliant rolling meat rod. But I am sure Hans recommendation is worth considering too. I have a Dave Mason river rod 10.6...

    Touch ledgering

Never really liked touch ledgering, prefer a glass quiver tip held low.

    Starlight holders

It's always a pain fixing isotopes. OK on my Torrix I have a whipped rubber tubing which takes all sizes if you fiddle with sleeves. A quick easy way mentioned on here is plasticine or blue tack which is fine for the bigger disposable isotopes.

    Baits for new season

Those thoughts have been occupying my mind too. You would think a pellet boilie bait would be better in low clear conditions but I just know come dusk no matter what the river conditions, for me, meat gets the attention.

Tight lines for new season everyone

Don't really know where to start, but probably wet a line somewhere...not the best at watching England live so might record the match and fish. Although the weather currently is 'poor' it great for us anglers. Good luck and tight lines.

    Dog spike and rope recommendations

Any spike will do, just make sure the rope is sound. You could of course get a hand crafted bespoke one made I guess.😏 I now take one every time I fish, some real cliff faces in these parts, essential piece of kit.

    High end rods

Agonising over rods is what BFW is all about. We have an obsession over what is in principle a pretty straight forward problem and yet it appeals to our male train set type mentality and the more bells and whistles we can play with the better. Love it..even though any non fishing civilians...

    Reasonable sized baitrunners?

The Okuma Pulzer us a cracking bait runner in a 4000. Will be fine on Avon rods or say 1.75 barbel rods.

    DRENNAN Specialist rod info

I have a mint one with case. Single tip rod with a slightly stiffer action than the norm. Predates the Bowler rod range and was marketed at c.£140.00. I imagine they were introduced about 2011/12 but could be earlier. Strangely not a lot of marketing info on the rod. I bought my rod for half...

    New Drennan Acolyte

All OK Rich..I was trying not to come over as being judgemental as I am as guilty of 'tartism' as anyone, but just a little bit more trusting of manufactures claims not only fishing tackle though. I enjoy lapping up all the new gear write ups and you tube vids, but when you step back and look...
