The builder’s notes say they are 2.25 tc but your ad header says 2.5. Which is correct? Not interested in the rods but just wouldn’t want anyone to buy them thinking they are more powerful than they actually are.

I seem to recall that there was a strongly held difference of opinion in a discussion within this forum. Perhaps that is the reason they have left? IIRC, both seemed to be aggrieved at some of the comments made….

Each to their own, Paul. I picked up an MB Drennan barbel rod in a closing down sale a few years back and absolutely hated it. Stiff as a poker. Much prefer a more through actioned rod as I generally don’t have to cast to the horizon or use weights over 2 - 3oz on my local rivers.

From a practicality point of view, if the 11’ rod will do the job why bother with a longer rod which may not get you into all the swims you want to cover?🙂
