I use 12lb for most of my barbel fishing, 15lb if I’m fishing heavy and it’s really heavy flow/ lots of debris on the Trent. I had Fisk take me into rocks, trees and the nettles and briars on flooded river banks and haven’t had it fail on me yet….probably regret saying that now! Good value very...

This rod is in vgc. Built with all black Fuji reel seat, black rubber fuji butt cap and ringed throughout with Fuji rings. No cracked whippings or bent eyes, cork has mellowed to a lovely chestnut colour. Excellent through actioned rod capable of handling big fish in tight spots. £180

I bought a set off Amazon, made in China but do the job perfectly. I won’t go on a muddy bank without them….. maybe just me being an old fart but my fishing mate got a pair after seeing mine and going on his backside too many times!

Excellent condition original rods. These rods are well cared for and have had little use. They are wholly original and complete with original padded Diawa slips. I can supply photos if anyone is genuinely interested in purchasing these rods. £220 for the pair.

I think it’s horses for courses, I use coated braid, Gardner ultra skin on the Trent where it is rocky. Never had a breakage yet. Lengths up to 6 feet if the fish are wary. Smaller less snaggy waters I use drennan acolyte fluorocarbon, thin diameter very supple and surprisingly robust. Again...
