    All of my rods have there own reel attached . There all 2 piece rods except my 15ft acolyte but even that stays made up with a Abu 506mk2 on but will admit with being 3 piece it's not so simple to put up as a 2 piece rod.

    I Like mine although the salopetts seem to come in smaller than the size stated.. If you can get to a shop and try them on. My coat is fine but like I say the salopetts seem small. Nice and warm though.

    I Agree. I have both and prefer the 1.5 with 2oz tip . That doesn't mean the 1.25 wont do the job it's just my preference.

    Richard if you do really like the rod I would spend more time trying to replace the broken part. I had a shimano vengeance barbel rod and managed to break the quiver tip carrier but after emailing a few shops I did manage to get a replacement . It might even be worth getting in touch with Daiwa...
