All of my rods have there own reel attached . There all 2 piece rods except my 15ft acolyte but even that stays made up with a Abu 506mk2 on but will admit with being 3 piece it's not so simple to put up as a 2 piece rod.
The hook bait company are hit & miss anyway. I've ordered from then on more than one occasion but takes ages to get your stuff even after several emails It has always arrived but took about 6 weeks.
I think I'm a member of the club that Simon is talking about and I must admit I thought it was a big jump but the club do state the the rents had increased a lot so IF that is true they do need to pass the increase on imo.
I've just turned 65 so was thinking I would get a cheaper ticket but...
If anyone wants a nice light chair I found this. I've bought one and used it today. It's very light and fairly comfortable for it's size .I'm not sure how long it will last but we'll see...
I Like mine although the salopetts seem to come in smaller than the size stated.. If you can get to a shop and try them on. My coat is fine but like I say the salopetts seem small.
Nice and warm though.
Richard if you do really like the rod I would spend more time trying to replace the broken part. I had a shimano vengeance barbel rod and managed to break the quiver tip carrier but after emailing a few shops I did manage to get a replacement .
It might even be worth getting in touch with Daiwa...
