Finding my 10000's way too heavy on lighter rods, so was wondering if anyone might have any lightweight models going / what they'd suggest. (Ideally, I'm hoping the reels are close to half the weight of the 10000's xtr ra's)

Hey, thanks for the offer. Someone dm'd me an excellent suggestion of wychwood fltr rods. 80% of our fishing is off the top and they're a slightly lighter test curve, so considering my options atm 🙂

They definitely are beautiful rods, but they're probably a little outside of my price range and still a bit on the big side. Ideally I'm looking for something in either 9 or 10ft because I know my partners waggler/stalking rods fit nicely.

Ah, shame. I've heard good things about the rods. How would you rate them for portability and action?

I'm looking for softish rods that are light and easy to transport because I'm trying to start fishing with my Dad regularly like we used to, but my 12's are a squeeze in the car and end up sat on the passengers lap 😂
