My barbel rods have only been out once this season and I can't see them coming out again, what couriers would people recommend if I decide to sell some of them?
Not sure why I'm bothering posting this as they are a bit larger diameter and and don't have a wide drum but the Grice and Young Avon Supreme has a drag system which works very well and they don't cost that much.
I stick with any wide gape style hook from Korda, Pallatrax (the hook or Gripz) Atomic Tackle or G Force. They all seem reliable and pretty much identical. For mono or fluorocarbon I generally use Korda choddy B's. I haven't had problems with any of these hooks. I don't get why there are...

I had one of these as my first pin and the ratchet broke I emailed them and they sent me one tree of charge. I ordered a spare as well. But soon sold it as I didn't feel confident it wouldn't break again.
Sounds like a tricky one to me then, getting the balance between a rod that can cast a reasonable weight and distance yet remain sensitive enough for bite indication. Yet still have the power to hit a fast bites at range. All this with a need to be able to use small hooks and light hook links if...
